Battle of the... Cop Shows

Postby mr cambo » Wed Nov 10, 2010 7:45 pm

Welcome to the Battle of the TV Cop Shows

Book 'em Danno

Who love ya baby?

Shut It!

Due to the large number of the great, the good, and the average, we're kicking off with the group stage.

There will be four groups of eleven shows... pick 5 from each list, and note them in order of your favourite.

The top 4 from each group will make the knock out stages.

Here goes with the first group... which classic shows won't even make the group stage :?:

Prime Suspect
Wallander
NYPD Blue
The Wire
The Shield
Homicide: Life on the streets
Without a Trace
Waking the Dead
Miami Vice
CSI (Miami, St. Albans, etc)
Luther

I am going on the premise that Wallander is the Swedish version rather than the British re-make with Kenneth Branagh therefore

1) The Wire
2) Wallander
3) Prime Suspect
4) Waking the Dead
5) NYPD Blue

1. The Sweeney
2. Taggart
3. The Bill - the original 1-hour shows, not the 30 minute soaps.
4. Bergerac
5. The Gentle Touch

If only thecambos.com detective agency had been made into a telly series, it would surely make the latter stages of the competition, wouldn't it, and which fine actors would play us in it I wonder :?:
